Topic: Life is a Journey

Abstract: ‘Life is a Journey’ discusses Saudi Aramco’s journey to mitigate the risks associated with on and off-road travel hazards. Looking back at our history of motor vehicle related accidents and then looking forward to how our journey management (JM) programs have evolved by adopting advanced monitoring tools and embarking on a more recent initiatives of using digital technologies. Accessibility to Aramco’s JM tools have been enhanced and is now available on both mobile devices and workstations, integrating multiple existing journey management systems including Saudi Aramco’s emergency and medical response capabilities, automatic vehicle locators, emails and text messaging. This allows for greater communication between travelers and journey coordinators. ‘Life is a Journey’ will then conclude by reviewing some of our future challenges such as fatigue management and contractor journey management, while providing some insight into these concerns and proposed measures to overcome these issues.
